The Blue Ice Warthog 40L backpack has been updated and is now even lighter and more minimalist, designed for fast and light multi-day winter ascents.

The Blue Ice Warthog 40L is a favourite among alpine guides due to its ability to withstand extremely intensive use while featuring only the required accessories to accomplish your pursuit. During your approach, the helmet holder, rope carrier, and top-loading design maximise carrying capacity, and there is a separate pocket in the top lid to keep your wallet and keys safe when opened at the belay.

Featuring innovative shoulder straps that have the same construction as Blue Ice's hybrid laminated climbing harnesses, offering a much lower profile carry system, backed with a removable waist belt with floating hip pads for added support whilst climbing. As well as the waist belt, the side compression straps and back frame sheet can also be removed so you can strip the weight of the pack further by 100g for those looking to reduce their overall carry weight. The rucksack also has two ice axe carrying points and two hauling points. A storage pocket can be accessed in the lid conveniently without having to open the pack up, here you can store valuables, snacks or anything you need quick access to.
